WHAT IS PDR?

• Paintless dent removal (PDR) is the process of removing dents without needing to paint the vehicle. We use specialized tools and lighting to push the dent from the underside of the panel. We use precision techniques to remove the dent and leave the panel smooth. All this is done while maintaining the integrity of the paint to save you time and money! The original factory paint on your vehicle is superior to any paint used by body shops.

• Maintaining the factory finish makes the repair more durable and longer lasting than if the vehicle was conventionally repaired and repainted.

WILL THE DENT BE COMPLETELY GONE?

• On most minor dents yes, the dent will be gone. The larger the dent the harder it is to repair. Even on larger dents most people are amazed with the results. We will always explain in detail what the repair will look like when it is completed, before any work is done. If the completed repair does not meet the expectations we set before hand you WILL NOT be charged for the repair.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PDR?

• The most important benefit is QUALITY. PDR is as close to the dent never happening as you can get. Products used in the body shop such as Bondo, fillers, primer, and paint must be mixed and applied precisely to obtain a long lasting quality repair. That is often not the case, which is why body shop repairs often fail or have problems months down the road.

• Cost is another major benefit. The typical body shop estimate for a small dent ranges from $350-$500 and up. That same dent can be repaired by DentCare for $95-$125.

• Time savings is yet another advantage of DentCare. A small dent can be repaired in less than an hour using PDR. The same dent would take 1-3 days for a body shop to repair.

• Convenience is also an important advantage. DentCare will come to you in most cases to repair your car. PDR is a clean, fairly quiet (plastic hammers and tap downs are used occasionally) repair process that can be done almost anywhere when the temperature is above 60.

 

WILL THE DENT COME BACK?
Absolutely not. Once a dent has been properly repaired using PDR it will never come back. Conventional repairs (body shop) may develop rings and sand scratches or have problems with the paint months down the road.

WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE CAN YOU FIX?
The most important factors in determining whether a dent can be repaired are depth and location. Dents the size of a softball can be repaired successfully if they are not too deep. On the other hand, dents the size of a dime but very deep may not be repairable because the metal is too stretched. Cracked paint can also be an indicator of a dent that is beyond repair. Many dents with cracked paint can be repaired to 85–95% and touched up, but no warranty will be given on repairs with cracked paint.

WILL PDR DAMAGE MY PAINT?
No! The automotive paint used today is very durable and flexible. If you have your vehicle repaired by a skilled PDR technician, your paint will in no way be damaged. PDR is the only method of removing a dent that allows you to keep the factory paint on your vehicle. The factory paint is superior to any paint a body shop would use.

CAN DENTCARE HELP ME SELL MY CAR?
Most people judge a car by its appearance. If it looks good, they assume it has been well taken care of. Car dealers and wholesalers know this. They also know that money invested in PDR will pay off when the car is sold, in a higher sales price and quicker sale. If you are selling your car, PDR is a cost-effective way to get a higher price, more interest, and a quicker sale for your car.

WILL YOU WORK WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY?
Most of the time damage repaired by PDR does not exceed your deductible. In the event there is multiple dents or larger damage, we will absolutely work with your insurance company. Don’t be fooled by insurance agents who say you have to take your vehicle to a shop they recommend. This practice is called “steering” and is illegal. You have the right to choose which company repairs your vehicle and your insurance company must comply with your wishes. DentCare will coordinate with your insurance company and do the legwork to make sure you are fairly compensated.

 

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE DENTS?
Yes. If you have more than one minor dent on the panel they can usually be included for little extra. If your car has minor dents on multiple panels, we also offer a complete car price.
